IS OUR LANDFILL A PROSPECT?

Several factors contribute to the potential viability of an energy project for a

particular landfill. The amount of "waste in place" at the landfill will obviously

affect the total amount of landfill gas (LFG) that is generated. The composition

of the waste stream, that is, the relative amount of organic waste that will decompose

to the amount of inorganic waste that will not generate LFG, affects the amount of

LFG that will be available. Climatologic conditions, such as ambient temperature,

humidity, and annual rainfall, also contribute to the rate of the waste decomposition,

and thus the rate of LFG generation. Energy market considerations also impact the

viability of an energy project. Potential energy consumers or utilities located relatively

close to the landfill increase the possibility of a feasible energy project. We have

provided a "Prospect Questionnaire" form under the "Contact Us" section of this

web site. If you would like a Renovar representative to provide some feedback

regarding project feasibility, please fill out the questionnaire and submit. One of

our representatives will contact you shortly to assist in your evaluation.
