PROJECT UPDATES - Shreveport Louisiana

In January of 1999, Renovar Shreveport, L.L.C. "Renovar" completed construction
of a Landfill Gas "LFG" collection system at the Woolworth Road Landfill near
Shreveport, Louisiana. Pursuant to a long-term contract with the City of
Shreveport, Renovar installed, owns and operates the LFG collection system
consisting of initially, 31 gas extraction wells interconnected by a high-density
polyethylene piping system. The piping network comes to a common point where
Renovar has designed, constructed and operates a Landfill-Gas-to- Energy use
facility.

In January 2002, Renovar signed a long-term LFG sales contract with General
Motors Corporation "GM" that will put the LFG to a beneficial use at the GM
Shreveport Assembly Plant. Renovar laid a seven (7) mile pipeline to the GM
Plant and also constructed an LFG compression and dehydration facility that
enables the LFG to be processed at the landfill and transported to the GM Plant.
The processing plant first removes free liquid and solids through a suction
scrubber, then compresses the LFG and is then dehydrated through a refrigeration
system. The refrigeration system reduces the temperature of the LFG so that free
liquids can be extracted and the gas is dry as it is transported in the pipeline to GM.

GM uses the LFG to fuel steam boilers at the plant for both heating and cooling
purposes. The LFG will offset the use of natural gas purchases. This is the 4th
plant that GM has modified to be able to utilize LFG and like the other plants,
GM is enthusiastic about the environmental benefits of renewable energy. Both
Renovar and GM are active participants in the EPAšs Landfill Methane
Outreach Program.
